I went to the Night 1 Forest Hills show so this is my second time seeing the orchestral set - and honestly this one blew me away more.
Forest hills was damn good but this one blew me away. The orchestra was on point (which. makes sense, its the national symphony orchestra,) and everything felt so well done. The beginning had a few rough spots and I think Stu had some guitar issues at some point, but the rest of the show was flawless. The Cut-Throat Boogie > Boogieman Sam was INSANE. There was little bits of Plastic Boogie and at some point I swore I heard some Nonagon in there. And Amby's harmonica was on point. Crumbling Castle was the highlight of this show (and probably the last one for me too,) as it just FEELS right. The orchestral version is going to be my main version I listen to from now on because holy SHIT. Amazing performance from everyone, as always.
People continuing to get butthurt over Gizz supporting Palestine; It's nothing new, and it honestly baffles me that people are still learning that KGLW supports Palestine and many other "political agendas". This is the same band who just pulled their entire discography from Spotify, because keeping it on Spotify would be supporting a CEO who is funding warfare. This is the same band that hosted a raffle for everyone that made sure they were registered to vote today. This is the same band who has hosted a raffle at EVERY SHOW, where donating to a LGBTQ+ charity would give you more entries. Gizz has always been for human rights. Free Palestine, fuck Elon Musk, and tax the rich. ?
