Songs > Searching... > History

After a look at what tetrachromacy can bring, “Searching…” is a hypnotic look inwards at what the protagonist of Polygondwanaland wants: to ascend to the level of a god by seeing “the fourth colour.” At the end of the track, that’s exactly what they get. The song is the calm before the storm, a moment to breathe before heading right into the ascendant chaos of “The Fourth Colour.” However while the song sits on one of the band’s most beloved albums, “Searching…” has never been in the spotlight. Due to this, there’s a lack of information about it.

The song was recorded by Stu at Flightless HQ. While the song was released on November 17th, 2017, “Searching…” has never been played live. Perhaps there is some insight as to why. Before the premiere of the music video for “Dreams” Stu wrote in the live chat “Searching is kind of boring.” It’s unclear whether the song will ever be given more attention.
