Closing out Paper Mâché Dream Balloon is a short instrumental titled “Paper Mâché.” It's an acoustic medley of every song on the album, with Stu playing the melodies on flute. The ending of the song is a chaotic, incomprehensible string of sounds that ends with a loud bang similar to the drums heard at the beginning of “Vegemite.” When slowed down, the sounds are revealed to be “Paper Mâché” played back at varying speeds. The song was recorded entirely at The End in Brooklyn, New York in June of 2015 by Jacob Portrait (of Unknown Mortal Orchestra fame). Footage of the sessions can be found in BOOTLEG HOLIDAY FROM HELL. Interestingly, the footage reveals that the song was recorded at a lower pitch than the final version, meaning they had pitch-corrected the track afterwards. The song was released on November 13th, 2015.

“Paper Mâché” has never been played live.
