“Embryo” is the third hidden track from the standard vinyl release of The Silver Cord and is the second on the second side. First found in the ASCAP ACE Repertory which lists every band member as a writer, the track’s name is noted in the matrix number on the album’s dead wax. Starting with the fade out of “Plasma,” “Embryo” has wonky synthesizers on top of a driving rhythm that leads to a fast-paced instrumental jam. In the band’s 2023 Reddit AMA, Stu said the hidden songs were made when experimenting with the sound for The Silver Cord.

“Embryo” has never been played live.
