“Aerodynamic” takes place one July in the middle of the ocean. A storm has turned the once calm waves turbulent. As a boat drifts on the water’s surface, a bolt of lightning hits its nose and destroys it – sending its sole sailor into the water. As they drift away from the wreck they hear the moon (or perhaps a goddess of the moon like Chang’e or Selene, the daughter of Theia), implore them to take a new form, one which liberates them from being landborne. The sailor wishes they had wings instead of arms so they can fly away. The voice of the moon seems to be an illusion, however, as the realization sets in that they can’t escape their fate. The song ends with the sailor clinging to a barrel of paint surrounded by sharks (a likely reference to “Shark Fin Blues” by the Drones which features the line “I'm floating away on a barrel of pain”), happily accepting that they’ll die at sea.

The song was written and performed by Ambrose (vocals), Cavs (drums/percussion), Joey (guitar/vocals), Lucas (bass), and Stu (bass/guitar/vocals). It was released on Phantom Island on June 13th, 2025.
