KGLW.net Staff Notes: The first tease in The River could be noted as a tease of Hell’s Itch or Chang’e, as the riffs in both songs are basically identical. It was decided that since there is no indication of what the band’s intent was, the main difference is the instrument the riff is played on. Since the riff is played on guitar in Hell's Itch and keyboard/synth in Chang'e, with the tease in question being played on guitar, it was noted as a tease of Hell's Itch. It is ruled out as the also nearly identical Witchcraft/Flamethrower riff as those songs are in minor keys, while Hell's Itch/Chang'e are in major keys and match how the tease was played in this instance.
