This was the first time in what felt like forever that I went to a show in Chicago that had nice weather. That goes for any band. Couldn't have asked for a nicer day.

Getting five Nonagon songs to open the set is an all time classic. It's way toward the top of their best ever set openers.

The Flight b741 tracks sounded great and Crumbling Castle is tight. Dragon was the highlight of the metal sections and one of my favorite versions. The Murder of the Universe suite in full was a major highlight and the Head/On Pill closer was the perfect bow on top.

Great energy all around. Plus it was 3h 15m of music! Can't ask for a much better day.

The experience of my first hometown KG show was great. Having needed to drive a minimum of 2 hours for any previous show, it was great to have them so close by.

The Dripping Tap opener shreds and Field of Vision keeps the energy high to start the show. I yelled "No fucking way" in disbelief when they broke into God Is Calling Me Back Home. Never in my life did I think I'd catch a deep cut like that.

The highlight of the show is the electriconic section highlighted by an incredible jam on Extinction. Those songs are at their best when someone plays guitar alongside the synths and Joey shreds it here.

If your a drums person, the Gaia drum solo shows Cavs at his peak with an extended jam of his own. I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled with a KGLW closer but that's just a personal preference. I thought another high energy tune to close it out would have wrapped up the night better.

Regardless, a show well worth listening to that doesn't get brought up much in discussion (just beware of the squeakers!)

What a phenomenal show. The weather was gorgeous with an even more impressive view. We were up in the lawn and had a blast dancing with  a couple we had spent the day with at the winery next door. The early Open Water and Magma back-to-back is the clear highlight of this show. The way Cavs kicks Open Water into high gear is electric! Might be my favorite ever version of Magma too. It's smoking!

Gondii>Silver Cord>Extinction is a top tier electric jam. The Inner Cell trilogy was the best I've heard of the three times I've caught it live.

It's too bad the railing broke during Venusian 1. That was the first time I had ever heard it in 8 shows and it got cut off! But we did see the accapella Vegemite which wouldn't have happened otherwise. 10/10 experience and show.
