“Let There Be Rock” is a hard rock song by AC/DC which was released on their fourth album of the same name in 1977. Adapting a line from the Chuck Berry song “Roll Over Beethoven,” it details the creation of rock and roll and its rise to popularity. AC/DC was influential on King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, with Stu citing them as the reason he picked up guitar. "I guess, as a classic Australian, it was seeing videos of AC/DC playing live that made me think, ‘No, actually, guitar is cool!’ The music my dad liked, I like now, but it wasn’t electric guitars with loud, primal energy. It was Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Paul Kelly. So seeing AC/DC on TV made me say, ‘Please, Dad, can I have a guitar?!’”

The song was performed once on 2017-11-19 at The Great Northern Hotel in Byron Bay for Gizzfest. Their cover was a tribute to AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young who had passed away a day before at the age of 64. This version was sung by Ambrose who performed the song shirtless (like Bon Scott would have). The band officially uploaded a video of their cover to Facebook on November 21st.
