Released on the 1973 album Tres Hombres, “La Grange” is a bluesy southern rock song by the band ZZ Top. The song borrows from the John Lee Hooker track “Boogie Chillen,” so much so that it led to a lawsuit in the ‘90s. Nevertheless, the song was the band’s first big hit and is still played on classic rock radio to this day.

King Gizzard (sans Lucas) performed the song once on 2019-03-16 for Lucas’ wedding reception. The song was played close to the studio version with added harmonica by Ambrose. Since then it has been teased a few times, mostly appearing during “Boogieman Sam” jams.
