AC/DC’s “Jailbreak” is a hard rock song about a convict escaping jail after murdering the man his girl cheated with. While the song has been performed hundreds of times by the band and received a music video, it was somewhat obscure in the ‘70s and ‘80s due to its lack of availability. It was first released as part of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap but wouldn’t be included on international versions of the record. It would see a wider release outside of Australia on the band’s only EP ‘74 Jailbreak.

Gizzard performed “Jailbreak” when they played at Lukiškės Prison 2.0 (a notorious Lithuanian prison turned art space) on 2025-05-30. As the band jammed the end of “Daily Blues” they stumbled onto the song’s chords. Ambrose, seeing an opportunity, pulled the lyrics up on his phone and began to sing along. The resulting performance didn’t adhere to the studio version as it was unfinished and had a faster pace, but it was extensive to the point that it couldn’t be classified as just a tease or jam.
