“I Was Made For Lovin’ You” is a disco-influenced rock song by the band Kiss, released on the 1979 album Dynasty. Paul Stanley said that he wrote it after visiting Studio 54 and hearing disco, thinking to himself that he could create his own take on the genre. The song was (and is) divisive for its unique and hip sound (at the time), with some fans arguing that they had sold out with the track. Gene Simmons has also talked about his distaste for the song in recent years. Despite the conflicting opinions, “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” was a massive hit for the band.

The song was performed by King Gizzard (sans Lucas) on 2019-03-16 for Lucas’ wedding reception. Their version was sung by Ambrose, and was played close to the record. Later that year, the band reportedly played the song over speakers during the shoot for the “Organ Farmer” music video.
