Show Notes: All songs are the earliest confirmed performances as there are no known earlier public performance dates. This short set was for "assessment moderation purposes" for the RMIT University Bachelor of Contemporary Music Performance Exams. The end of the performance featured the first known public usage of the name King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, which had been decided on at an earlier unknown date.
KGLW.net Staff Notes: The date of this show has been confirmed with the professor that recorded and uploaded the video.
We note that these are the "first confirmed performances" as there is no record of any earlier ones; however it can be assumed that some or all of these songs had been publicly performed earlier at unknown dates and locations.
Ambrose and Cook are missing from the performance most likely because they were not studying the Bachelor of Contemporary Music Performance. Their status as band members is undefined, though they were both playing regularly with the band around this time; as well as several other people who did not become permanent members.
Through 2010 King Gizzard were a house party band with an open roster who wrote their songs pretty much on the fly. The fact that they had a name and five original songs here tells us the band was becoming moderately established and would soon start releasing singles and booking billed gigs."
