First rock show of the first true/complete Aus tour in six years felt fantastic. I think this is probably the best venue in the city for the band, and they have played it surprisingly few times. Stu's speaking voice sounded very rough, but didn't seem to affect his singing, and everyone was very consistenly paced and on strong form throughout. Stu's amp blew up about halfway through and I don't think the replacement sounded quite right after, but this had little impact on the show when you always should expect a bit of chaos. A few more than ideal repeats from my previously attended rock show, but that was over 750km away (still my closest two opportunities) so I can't really blame them for that.
Couldn't have asked for much more with the setlist and performance overall, especially The Wheel, which is surely the definitive version.
