This was a fully acoustic show (except for the electric bass), the fourth such show in the band’s history ( December 13, 2021, December 19, 2021, April 13, 2022). Scheduled opening band Kamikaze Palm Tree’s set was cancelled due to an inclement weather warning. Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer was played for the first time since May 8, 2022 (81 show gap). Muddy Water featured Amby on sax. The River (#1) contained Wah Wah teases. Wah Wah was unfinished. The River (#2) contained Wah Wah and Ice V teases. Amby dedicated Let Me Mend the Past to his father, Broderick Smith, who passed away recently. Following The Bitter Boogie, the band teased “Stairway to Heaven” (Led Zeppelin) and improvised a short bluegrass tune. Following The Wheel Stu briefly left the stage; while awaiting his return Joey quoted Superbad, stating he felt like Steven Glansburg and then teased “Taylor” (Jack Johnson), Amby quoted “Beyond the Sea” (Bobby Darin) and Joey teased and quoted “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” (Jet). Presumptuous featured Stu going around to every band member and giving them a sip of champagne, as well as spraying champagne on the crowd. Most Of What I Like was played for the first time since June 1, 2022 (70 show gap) and was dedicated by Joey to his partner Edith (Amby’s sister), had Stu and Amby sitting on piano together, and contained “Praise You” (Fatboy Slim) quotes/teases. Her and I contained teases of Am I In Heaven?, “España cañí” (Pascual Marquina Narro) and Blindness (The Fall). Slow Jam 1 and Sense were on the written setlist as the final 2 songs but were not played.
KGLW.net Staff Notes: Fans of stage banter should check out this show, as the band, especially Stu, was in a talkative mood. Discussions included the band’s ability to chill hard, how acoustic nights are like days off for Cavs to drink, and even theorizing why Stu might be more talkative tonight.

KGLW.net Staff Notes: There was much internal discussion as to a potential tease of the intro to Gondii in Change. The arrangement of instruments and structure of Change has been modified compared with the studio version. Though it resembles a tease of Gondii, we believe more live instances need to he heard to determine if this is intentional, or just an accentuation of the existing relationship between the songs.

This was a three-hour marathon show and the first marathon show to be performed as a single set. The show opened with a video of Amby's father, Broderick Smith, introducing the band. Eyes Like the Sky through Evil Man was dedicated to Broderick Smith and featured Broderick’s narration from the Eyes Like the Sky album played over the PA while the band played, and photos of Broderick displayed on the large screen behind the band. Eyes Like the Sky, Year Of Our Lord, and The Raid were played for the first time since December 1, 2018 (192 show gap). Evil Man was played for the first time since February 18, 2016 (449 show gap). Prior to Gaia, Joey quoted “I Love L.A.” (Randy Newman). The Grim Reaper contained Torture Chamber quotes and “Intergalactic” (Beastie Boys) quotes. Astroturf ended with an extended drum solo by Cavs during which the rest of the band left the stage. Shanghai featured the Grow Wings and Fly “let’s get real high” jam. Ambergris featured an extended intro during which Joey and Amby contemplated the nature of sexiness. The Dripping Tap was dedicated by Amby to Cavs’ dad and to his “first music teacher who said my voice sounds weird,” and contained Cellophane teases and Hot Water teases.

Joey did an impression of Guy Fieri before Rats In The Sky. Cavs teased Rock and Roll (Led Zeppelin) before Sad Pilot. After Rats in the Sky, the band heckled Jason Galea to join on Tambourine. Before Flight b741, the band got Cavs to hit the gong on his kit. After Flight b741, the band explains the Geelong aka G-troit is the sister city to Detroit, as both had a ford production factory, which closed and destroyed the town. Joey teased Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix) and Cavs teased Rock and Roll again. You Can Be Your Silhouette contained an extended intro where the band talked about how their talkback mics work and jazz notes. During the song itself, which contained a The End (The Doors) quote, it was described as a song about being yourself. During the intro to Straws In The Wind, the band joked about Ambrose swimming over to Canada and Ambrose walked up to the lights and sound booth. Nuclear Fusion featured Vincent, a kid from the audience on the intro. Following the intro, Joey teased Twist (Korn). After Nuclear Fusion, Stu shouted out the stream crew. Honey contained O.N.E teases. Minimum Brain Size was introduced as a song about "loser hypermasculine people." Prior to Rattlesnake Joey conducted a Q&A session with crowd members and Sam. Prior to Billabong Valley, Cavs ran offstage. During Billabong Valley, Joey said he can do a Limp Bizkit beat cause he doesn’t have an electric guitar and doesn’t want to take it to the [Dave] Matthews Bridge, followed by Ambrose climbing on top of the equipment truck on the side of the venue, leading to the line “I’m on the truck!” Her and I (Slow Jam 2), which was last played 2023-06-18 (50 show gap), contained a Slow Jam 1 intro as well as Iron Lung teases.
